The Voice of HMEW coalition is an independent initiative of homeowners and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or officially recognized by Highland Meadows Estates West Association, Inc.

Legal Framework of the Coalition – The Voice of HMEW

 

Nature of the Initiative

 

The Coalition – The Voice of HMEW is a voluntary group of resident homeowners of

Highland Meadows Estates West Association, Inc..

It acts independently and is not an official entity of the association.

Legal Basis

 

This initiative is based on the rights granted to members of a homeowners’ association in Florida, including:

• the right to assemble peacefully

• the right to exchange information

• the right to participate in community discussions

• the right to express concerns regarding the management of the association

These rights are governed by

Florida Statutes Chapter 720.

Coalition Mission

 

The coalition has two main objectives:

1. To raise homeowners’ awareness of modern digital security issues, particularly regarding the protection of financial and personal data

2. To promote clear and constructive communication between homeowners and the HOA

Role and Limitations

 

The coalition:

✔ informs

✔ raises awareness

✔ facilitates communication

It does not:

❌ make decisions for the association

❌ does not replace the board of directors

❌ does not exercise any legal authority

• avoiding personal attacks

• acting in a constructive and respectful manner
